Custom Car Covers are the best choice for fit and protection. However, in some cases price and availability are more important. For these situations, Coverking offers a line of Universal Car Covers. Universal Car Covers are designed to fit several vehicles in a specific size range. For example, a Universal Car Cover size CAR3 will fit a Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima, Mercedes C-Class, etc. A Custom Car Cover for one of these vehicles will not fit the other vehicles. Because of this, Universal Covers are available off-the-shelf from many automotive parts stores. They can be made in bulk, so the manufacturing costs are lower, and the patterns usually do not have mirror pockets. Coverking has a complete line of Universal Car and Station Wagon Covers and Universal Truck, SUV and Van Covers. These covers are offered in three fabrics: Coverguard, Triguard, and Coverbond 4. Coverking also offers Motorcycle and ATV covers.

Universal CoverKing car covers are available in Coverbond 4, Coverguard, Triguard materials:
 Coverguard
Coverguard. The lowest cost material, Coverguard is a good choice for budget minded consumers looking for basic, light weather protection. The material used in Coverguard is Spunbond Polypropylene, and is used in a single layer format. U.V. inhibitors have been added to help reduce the deteriorating effects of the sun's rates.
 Triguard
Triguard. Two layers of Coverguard cover a middle layer of breathable yet water resistant material. Triguard is a good choice for light to medium weather. It is easy to store and soft on a vehicle's paint. U.V. inhibitors have also been added. Triguard is not recommended for significant rain, snow or ice.
 Coverbond
Coverbond 4. Four layers of extra thick protection. Coverbond 4 is very bulky and an excellent choice for more severe weather. The extra thickness gives added protection from minor dings, nicks and damage from other hazards.

Installation Guide:
Preparing Your Universal Car Cover For Installation:
For proper and successful installation of your Universal Car Covers, you are required to prepare them for installation first. Preparation of your Universal Car Cover for installation involves a couple of steps. These are, namely:
Clean your vehicle properly and make it dust free. You are not recommended to cover a dusty vehicle with your Universal Car Cover, as by wrapping your car cover around a dirty vehicle, you are simply rubbing dust particles into your car cover and damaging its finish.
If your vehicle body is wet, make it dry before covering it with your Universal Car Cover. Never, use your Universal Car Cover to cover a wet vehicle.
Universal Car Cover Installation Process:
To install Coverking`s Universal car Covers, they have to be unrolled first. You can place the Universal Car Cover over your vehicle body and then it becomes much easier for you to unroll it slowly and gradually towards the back end position. Now, you need to unfold the sides so that the Universal Car Cover is properly placed over the body of your car.
If your Universal Car Cover is outfitted with mirror pockets, you are required to install the mirror pockets first and thereafter you can move on to cover the front and back ends of your vehicle.
Special Measures To Be Taken During Installation:
There are certain special measures that you need to implement for successful installation of your Universal car Covers. These installation measures are:
Be careful to keep your Universal Car Cover at a distance from your car exhaust tips if they are too hot or sharp edged. You need to ensure that your car cover material never comes in direct contact with the hot/ sharply edged exhaust tips as the Universal Car Cover may melt instantly as soon as it touches the exhaust tips.
If an antenna is positioned over your vehicle, you are required to induce a small opening in your Universal Car Cover for successful installation. To achieve it, first of all, you need to remove the antenna and drape the vehicle with the Universal Car Cover. Now, you need to find out the base part of the antenna and then cut your Universal Car Cover a little at the specific position where the antenna touches the base of your car body. In the next step, install the antenna and remove the Universal Car Cover. Now, just put the Universal Car Cover around the antenna patches.
Universal Car Cover Lock Kit Installation:
If you have bought a lock kit along with the Universal Car Cover to protect the car cover against theft, you need to use it properly. For successful installation of the lock kit on your Universal Car Cover, simply follow the steps mentioned below:
Universal Car Cover lock kit has a vinyl coated cable that is equipped with a metal piece on one end and a loop on the other end. Now, after covering the vehicle with the Universal Car Cover, move on to the passenger’s corner and fix the loop end of the cable at a position of around 2 inches through the grommet.
Now, you need to insert the metal piece end under the grommet via the loop of the first end, and under the vehicle to the driver’s corner. Once you reach the driver’s corner, push the cable from outside the cover and then pass it for around 2 inches through the grommet. After passing the cable for around 2 inches, you can simply lock the end pieces to the cable body.
Cleaning Instruction:
Universal Car Covers can be washed properly by using the hand washing procedure, by opting for machine cleaning and also by bringing the inside of the Universal Car Cover out on the vehicle and cleansing it thoroughly. This particular procedure of bringing the internal Universal Car Cover out on the vehicle and cleansing it thoroughly is applicable only when no external antenna is fixed on your car.
To clean your Universal Car Cover properly via machine cleaning, you need a non-toxic, non-caustic, bio-degradable and eco-friendly anionic laundry detergent and altogether this cleaning process is to be undertaken at 20-27 degree centigrade. However, for machine cleaning, you are recommended to use large automatic speed control washers that are available in almost all the commercial laundries. You are also instructed not to use agitators in the machine cleaning procedure as the use of agitators is likely to tear off your Universal Car Cover completely.
The Universal Car Cover Cleaning Process:
In the first cleaning step, blend two cupfuls of non-caustic, non-toxic, eco-friendly and bio-degradable liquid anionic laundry detergent with warm/cold water and soak the Universal Car Cover on this mixture for a period of 5 minutes to release the dirt particles.
Clean the Universal Car Cover with gentle cycles for a period of 5 minutes and thereafter rinse with 2 cycles with cold water and then again rinse it one cycle to make the Universal Car Cover half dry.
Now, clean the vehicle thoroughly and then put the half-dried Universal Car Cover around it and then wait for some moments for the Universal Car Cover to be dried thoroughly by the affect of air.
Now, after drying your Universal Car Cover completely, fold it properly and store in the box.
In this Universal Car Cover cleaning process, you are instructed not to use automatic dryer and also not to dry clean your Universal Car Cover. As you undertake the cleaning procedure effectively, it would adequately protect the finishing treatment on your Universal Car Cover fabric.
